Overview
MGB Ventures Enterprise is a key distributor for Nigerian Breweries PLC. MGB sells and supplies products of Nigerian Breweries to retailers, and they seek a way to make transactions between the company and it's customers easier and more efficient. The aim of this project is to design an application where users (customers) can manage and carry out transactions easily.
Problem statement
Customers need a way to purchase and manage their transactions remotely because they are often too busy to leave their work place and do it physically.
Stage 1 - Research and Analysis
To address the challenges faced by MGB Ventures Enterprise, I began by conducting in-depth research to understand the existing transaction processes and the experiences of both staff and customers. This involved interviewing key staff members and customers to gain insights into their daily interactions and the difficulties they encounter.
The research revealed the following transaction process:
Upon arrival, customers are directed to the storekeeper's desk to manually place their orders.
An invoice is issued and taken to the cashier for payment.
The cashier confirms the payment and signs the invoice.
The signed invoice is then returned to the storekeeper, who arranges for product delivery.
Customers either collect their products on-site or schedule a delivery for bulk orders.
Finally, the invoice is signed off as cleared once the products are delivered.
Identified Problems:
Customers experience delays, especially during peak times, leading to dissatisfaction.
Customers desire easy access to their transaction history and delivery records without needing to visit or call the office.
Staff members reported being overwhelmed, particularly during festive seasons, due to the high volume of orders and payments to process.
Stage 2 - Persona Development and User Flow Design
Based on the research findings, I created detailed personas to represent the key customer segments of MGB Ventures Enterprise. These personas were instrumental in understanding the users’ goals, needs, and pain points, which guided the design process.

I then mapped out user flows to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience. These flows covered key interactions such as order placement, payment processing, and product delivery, with a focus on minimizing customer wait times and simplifying the transaction process.

Stage 3 - Concept Development and Wireframing
With a clear understanding of the user needs, I moved on to the concept development phase. This involved brainstorming with the team to generate ideas that would improve the user experience for both customers and staff.
I created wireframes that served as the foundation for the design, focusing on a streamlined process that would reduce delays and enhance user satisfaction. The wireframes provided a close look at the user experience without the distraction of aesthetics, ensuring that the core functionality was solid.
Stage 4 - UI Design and Prototyping
Building on the wireframes, I developed high-fidelity prototypes that reflected the desired user experience. The design incorporated a user-friendly interface that allowed for easy navigation through the transaction process.
I selected a clean and professional color scheme, along with intuitive typography, to ensure that the interface was not only functional but also visually appealing. Interactive prototypes were created to demonstrate the improved transaction process and were refined through iterative design reviews.
